Zelensky says they are getting no American warning about incoming ballistic missiles

For the second time in a row, Kyiv took a ballistic missile hit with no warning beforehand. According to Volodymyr Zelensky's Wednesday post, the Ukrainian system only detected the missiles when they were practically already over the city, and once again no warning came from the partners. Zelensky diplomatically does not spell out who the "partner" is, but everyone knows: Ukrainian air defense has for years relied on data from American satellites so that the population would at least have a few minutes to flee. A week ago Washington was still threatening the Ukrainian military leadership that it would cut off intelligence data if it kept striking Russian refineries. In recent days Kyiv has halted its attacks on refineries, the Russians keep bombing Ukraine, and Trump's America is now even blocking warnings about incoming ballistic missiles from reaching the Ukrainian people.

It was under these circumstances that Zelensky's post was written, and it is more than just a report on a missile attack. It is the quiet but unmistakable indictment, from the president of a country under attack, that Ukraine is being bombed by the enemy and abandoned by the friend at the same time. Here is the full text:

Russian ballistic missiles struck Kyiv, and once again no advance warning came from our partners. The attack targeted primarily energy infrastructure, above all Kyiv's thermal power plant No. 4, and unfortunately it was hit. A residential building was also damaged, where emergency crews are still working to put out the fire. Our system essentially only detected the missiles when they were already approaching Kyiv, even though thermal power plant No. 4 is one of the capital's most important energy facilities.

According to our intelligence data, the Russians are preparing further ballistic missile launches. The facts clearly show that Moscow does not feel bound by what the President of the United States has stated. Ukraine supported the energy ceasefire, while Russia is targeting yet another power plant—and along with it, the lives of our people.

It is deeply unjust that while the Russians are systematically destroying our energy system, Ukraine does not even receive warnings about ballistic missile launches. It is important that the world not stay silent about this, and it is also important that America truly sees what is happening here and who is responsible for this war still continuing.

Please take care of yourselves tonight and tomorrow as well. We are working to ensure our air defense once again has enough interceptor missiles as soon as possible.

A document of our time and our sickness. We are this cowardly and this helpless, which is exactly why our turn will come too, and not so long from now—except by then there will be no Ukrainian army left to defend us!

According to an analysis by Politico, this has become an increasingly serious problem for the American president. “In less than two years, we've gone from having…
