Too much for a campaign, nothing for action. Árpád Antal takes a trip to Rimetea (Torockó)
Árpád Antal is once again talking tough to his own Hungarians about the administrative reform plan of the government they themselves voted in – while staying silent in front of Romanian decision-makers.
From here, from Rimetea, we are sending the message in Hungarian, so that the Social Democratic Party understands it too!
With this, Antal is essentially publishing the latest opinion-poll results: according to the figures, it's best to bite their own Bucharest buddies. If push comes to shove, they'll do it and put on a show of sulking, since there's no downside. In 2019, when their popularity was likewise at rock bottom, they likewise hurried to quit the Social Democratic government two days before the European Parliament elections, because that's what the numbers called for.
They also issued a thin political statement, likewise exclusively in Hungarian. Likewise naming the Social Democratic Party explicitly. At the same time, they couldn't manage to name the concrete legal grounds – they must have run out of paper.
In summary: the only wants to tell us that they certainly won't budge _on this_ !
On this!
What is this fit of honesty? Not like with the others?
Well, yes. For example, even the sacristy was taken from the monastic order in Oradea, at the crack of dawn, by breaking through the wall, while Ödön Szabó and his gang were themselves harassing and hounding the abbot, rather than the law-breaking authorities.
----
In reality, the RMDSZ doesn't have time to seriously study some administrative bill.
After them, the deluge.
This was proven by Hunor Kelemen himself on Digi24 television, when he couldn't even get the name right of the European Charter of Local Self-Government, about which he falsely claimed, in the same interview, that it contained a provision prohibiting the alteration of ethnic ratios.
Those provisions are elsewhere, Hun:óЯ my dear, not where you said they were.
----
By the way, dear RMDSZ, since you're bashing the PSD like this: have you published your agreement with the “hated” Social Democratic Party yet, as you promised?
The signing took place more than two weeks ago, and still nothing! The elapsed time is shown by Hun:óЯ's counter:
Incidentally, even before it was formed, the Romanian government had publicly committed – entirely independently of the RMDSZ – not to redraw ethnic boundaries.
So what is this comedy act in Rimetea, gentlemen? After all, Development Minister Alexandru Stoica told Hotnews on October 28 that the first stage would involve voluntary mergers, which they are trying to encourage with financial incentives, also mentioned a referendum, and specifically stressed that they would negotiate with the RMDSZ.
From here, it will be quite something for the RMDSZ to lose gracefully – though in this respect I fully trust the boys' abilities.
----
In the 4 hours since the thin political statement was issued, three comments have come in, two of which are critical, one of them from Krisztina Babos:
Then by what right did the RMDSZ leaders of Bihor County decide, over the heads of local communities, to poison their environment with sewage while stealing the sewerage fees they had paid? We want an answer, Mr. Ödön Szabó, chairman of the RMDSZ in Bihor County!!! And an immediate solution!!!
Ha-ha. I don't think this is how the RMDSZ imagined this campaign.
But never mind, there'll be money to push this one through too, my boys!

Russian cryptodemocracy for Hungary's pseudo-democrats – the FSB would like to peek into your wallet too
Russia is building such a grand democracy that soon there will be little point in keeping secrets at all. According to the Russian central bank's draft proposal, the FSB would have round-the-clock access to the customer data of domestic crypto exchanges and currency exchangers, so that the comrade major could see in one place who you are, who you've sent money to, and even what you wrote to…

The drones are already attacking, while the PSD wants to renegotiate air defense
Romania received 16.68 billion euros in preferential EU loans for military equipment and strategic infrastructure, with the first 2.5 billion euros arriving back in August. Mihai Ghigiu, the PSD's minister for European investments, now wants to reopen the 5.7-billion-euro package of contracts signed with Rheinmetall, even at the cost of financial penalties. As it happens, the package also…

Nazare would cut spending too. That's how Bolojan started as well
According to Alexandru Nazare, Romania could get a red card from the credit rating agencies if the 2027 budget again promises more than the country can pay. This time the finance minister is asking the ministries for savings, and we're right back at the scene where the PSD walked away from the government table last spring.
